Hiking: The Province of Salzburg is well-known for its numerous mountain pastures (Alm). More than 500 mountain huts are open for hikers, and to spoill their palates with hearty local specialities. Over colourful pastures and through woods, past a romantic mountain lake and waterfalls, take a break by a chapel or where the path divides, that makes the unique experience of the “Salzburger Alm Summer“. Follow the Salzburg Almenweg (mountain pastures path) from meadow to meadow, hut to hut, on the gentian track.
